B uilt across a four-year span of time beginning in 1905, the Mayor's Inn Bed and Breakfast was often called the town's first true mansion. It was built for Frank L. Houx, Cody's first elected mayor. Elected in 1901 when Cody was legally incorporated, he served two terms through 1909. He later went on to serve as Wyoming Secretary of State and was also appointed acting Governor in 1917 for two years. He would be proud to know how his home has fared. M ayor's Inn Bed and Breakfast now offers five accommodations for guests.
